Beto Dourah
(c: Beto Dourah MGMT)

Beto Dourah was born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil and belongs to a talented new generation of singers and composers known as MPB, which stands for Musica Popular Brasileira. Dourah was musically influenced by Milton Nascimento, Lo Borges and Tavinho Moura.

A joint project with Jorge Vercilio and the singer Ive led to Beto Dourah composing the music for the film “Entreturnos” directed by Edson Ferreira. Dourah’s CD “Lado Zen“ won the Renato Russo Prize. The 2013 DVD “Deixa o coração falar” reaped critical praise for both Dourah and composer Ivan Lins, who worked with him on the new CD.

During his first European tour, he’ll be working with the Austrian-based singer, composer and percussionist Edison Tadeu (percussionist from Supermax). Their show will feature original compositions as well as well-known works by Tom Jobim, Djavan, Jorge Ben Gaetano Veloso and many others.
