An exciting evening can be expected when the Jamaican rhythm duo Sly & Robbie team up with trumpeter Nils Petter-Molvaer. Molvaer has developed a lyrical style which provides an eclectic counterpoint to digitally-generated rhythms.
Sly & Robbie also have rich electronic experience. In the early 1980s, they helped Chris Blackwell’s Compass Point Studios make the transition from analogue to digital, a period during which they made legendary albums with the likes of legends such as Bob Dylan and Grace Jones. They have also covered the borders of dub and electronic with artists such as Bill Laswell, Howie B. and Mad Professor.
