Seal

Seal’s impressive stage presence, coupled with his seductive vocal talents, won him a large following of fans (especially among the ladies) long before his fame expanded even further with his marriage to former German top model Heidi Klum.

Seal was born as Seal Henry Samuel in the London borough of Kilburn in 1963. He launched his career in the clubs and bars of London in the late 1980s before joining the funk rare groove band Push. The song “Killer” helped secure his breakthrough as a solo artist. This was followed by his next hit song “Crazy”. His follow-up hit tune “Kiss From a Rose” won him a Grammy in 1994.

For many critics his best album to date is “Seal IV” which featured songs such as “Get It Together” and “Love’s Divine”. Critics were also fulsome in their praise for his 2008 album “Soul” on which Seal sang 12 classic soul hits. These included James Brown’s “It’s a Man’s Man’s Man’s World” and Curtis Mayfield’s “People Get Ready”. For Barack Obama’s presidential campaign Seal sang Sam Cooke’s “A Change is Gonna Come”, originally recorded in the early 1960s. Seal’s current, critically-acclaimed album is called “Commitment”.
