Guitarist Wolfgang Muthspiel and pianist Aydin Esen have similar musical backgrounds: both studied classical music, both studied at the Berklee College of Music, and both have developed their own respective highly individual aesthetic.
Friends since the 1980s, it was only logical that the two of them explore both their similarities and differences on their joint project, “Dream Cycle”, which have left some wondering: Is it jazz? Or modern classical?
