Born in 1963, Seal launched his career in the clubs and bars of London in the 1980s before joining the funk rare groove band Push. The song “Killer” helped secure his breakthrough as a solo artist. This was followed by his next hit song “Crazy”. His follow-up hit tune “Kiss From a Rose” won him a Grammy in 1994.

Chucho Valdes is a master of various Cuban music and jazz styles going back to the 1920s. In Vienna he will perform with legendary singer Omara Portuondo, the only female featured in Ry Cooder’s Buena Vista Social Club project.

Pop queen Cyndi Lauper triumphed in 2010 with "Memphis Blues", a soulful collection of blues and soul songs, which she enriched with guests such as Allen Toussaint and BB King.
