Born in 1963, Seal launched his career in the clubs and bars of London in the 1980s before joining the funk rare groove band Push. The song “Killer” helped secure his breakthrough as a solo artist. This was followed by his next hit song “Crazy”. His follow-up hit tune “Kiss From a Rose” won him a Grammy in 1994.

Trumpeter Till Brönner’s “sound” ranges from Chet Baker’s aesthetic to jazzed-up German folk songs to bossa nova and Rn’B. Singer Madeleine Peyroux’s vocals are both gentle and melancholy. Her moving delivery has been compared to Billie Holiday, Hank Williams and Bessie Smith.
Omara Portuondo & Chucho Valdes

Chucho Valdes is a master of various Cuban music and jazz styles going back to the 1920s. In Vienna he will perform with legendary singer Omara Portuondo, the only female featured in Ry Cooder’s Buena Vista Social Club project.
Cyndi Lauper

Pop queen Cyndi Lauper triumphed in 2010 with "Memphis Blues", a soulful collection of blues and soul songs, which she enriched with guests such as Allen Toussaint and BB King. During her performance in Vienna, she will of course also sing her classics like "She Bop" and "Girls Just Want To Have Fun".

Black Country Communion, lead by Glenn Hughes and Joe Bonamassa, pack a powerful, blues-tinged, hard rock sound in the style of the 1970s. The line up is completed with Jason Bonham (his dad is Led Zeppelin drummer John Bonham) on drums and keyboarder Derek Sherinian.
